Articulating boom lift, blueBoom lifts are trucks/lifts with platforms that can carry personnel into hard to reach places. They are often crucial to set up and maintain the infrastructure inside of a mine, and can contribute to safe and efficient work processes.

Types of boom lifts

There are several types of boom trucks that each have a specific utility and purpose that they are meant to fulfill…

  1. Bucket Truck

A bucket truck is a truck that has an extended arm with a small bucket-like platform on the end that is able to lift workers up to hard to get to places. Inside of the bucket is a control panel where workers can control the lift. What makes bucket trucks especially useful is that the platform is so small and the arm is mobile enough to get into tight places at great heights.

  1. Telescoping Boom Lift

A telescoping boom lift is a lift that has a work platform on the end of a very long arm. The point of a telescoping boom lift is to do exactly that: telescope. The long arm is able to get workers to places that are either incredibly high or very far away, yet remain completely stable and safe.

  1. Articulated Boom Lift

An articulated boom lift is the perfect utility vehicle to use when you are trying to reach a place that has a lot of obstacles in the way. Articulated booms lifts are similar to bucket trucks, but tend to have a larger arm with more joints that can maneuver around other objects. The larger arm also allows for articulated boom lifts to carry more weight to places that would be hard to drive to.
